Architects by nature

The surprisingly simple architectural concept of the Strom Spa Sherbrooke expressed through minimalist and contemporary installations, puts customer experience at the forefront of its preoccupation. The site is cozy and warm, in complete harmony with the natural environment of the site.

Between contrast and symbiosis

On a lot located in a semi-industrial zone and presenting a rather common landscape on the street side and a bucolic one facing the river, our challenge was to create an immersive experience for the spa patrons. We succeeded in doing so by an overall layout whose articulation was dictated by the course of the Magog River, and the emphasis is given to the basins’ location and the views to privilege to favour the experience.

In order to bonify the experience, a contrast of made with the use of dark and light natural wood marks the transition between the inside and the outside, between the hot and the cold. The result presents installations integrated into the site’s natural environment, and whose terrain’s strength and character are highlighted by architecture.
