Simons Distribution Centre

A state-of-the-art distribution centre

The mandate for this project consisted of creating a distribution centre of 10,000 square feet distributed on two floors. The centre had to be operated with an automated and robotized handling system that would cover almost completely both floors.

Furthermore, we had to include the layout of the appropriate services for the employees such as a cafeteria, sanitary facilities and changing rooms.

The purchase of the automated warehousing system represented a spatial constraint that would define the maximum space necessary for operations. It had to allow the reception and the expedition of the merchandise by two loading/unloading docks.
